Hello, My name's Vincent.

I'm new to this tribe business and in fact to Max. I've only been using it a week or so, but i'm enjoying it loads and not finding it too tough to get into.

Anywho - my point. I'm doing a project for college and myself. I'm a bit of a fool and have jumped in at the deep end with Max. I want to make an application (if that's even the right word) that will make ambient soundscapes based on a live video feed. I just wondered if any of you clever lads had any inspiring ideas on how i would realise any of my objectives here.

Here is some excerts from my college project proposal:
www.nannytango.com/cocks/in...capes.htm

(i don't own nannytango.com by the way - so don't judge me by the awful site)

At the moment I have average RGB values controling the pitch of some sine tones and brightness/contrast controls on the imput. That was easy.

it's more tricky things like extracting texture from the image and making max recognise a new 'shape' in a room that i'm asking about.

Has anybody done anything similar before??
